Agriculture and environment in the same direction
When discussing the environment, the most frequent topics that emerge are combating deforestation and restoring forests. But there is a usually overlooked aspect which happened to be very vivid, this year, at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 27): regenerative agriculture, which defends a way of producing whilst recovering the land and the environment.
In regenerative agriculture, soil health care is a priority, as much as the promotion of biodiversity and the quality of the food produced. The good news is that it has already been applied in the Brazilian Amazon, although it needs to be expanded.

Quando se fala em meio ambiente, os temas mais frequentes são o combate ao desmatamento e a restauração florestal. Mas existe um lado que nem sempre é abordado, e que, este ano, na edição da Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre Mudanças Climáticas (COP 27), no Egito, esteve muito presente: a agricultura regenerativa, que defende o modo de produzir ao mesmo tempo em que se recupera a terra e o meio ambiente.

Na agricultura regenerativa, há um cuidado com a saúde do solo, a promoção da biodiversidade e a qualidade dos alimentos gerados. A boa notícia é que este formato já vem sendo aplicado na Amazônia brasileira há muitos anos, embora precise ser expandido.
