The Uruçun mead was highlighted in the Inova Amazônia, Germany mission, of Sebrae. The Amazonian product, which emerged in 2019 from a study with native stingless bees, today impacts directly on the lives of nearly 2,800 people by generating income for 300 families in the region.
The pioneer of the business is Ana Lídia Zoni, who mapped the productive chain of the species and used this honey to develop an alcoholic beverage that brings health benefits, but has the unique and particular flavor of the Amazon forest. The enterprise is developed in the Science and Technology Park, located in the Federal University of Pará (UFPA).
Through the German investor Sebastian Kielmann, owner of the company Brasmel UG, the product will be exported to the Port of Hamburg, Germany.
"The project was approved in edicts such as Inova Amazônia, which offers an immersion course in my home country, with the proposal of drinks and elements. We are prepared to show the charms of the Amazon to the world", says Kielmann.
The Brazil-Germany Mission opportunity is exclusive for companies and startups participating in the acceleration phase of the Inova Amazônia Sebrae Program, to enable access to the European market.
