Liberal Amazon  project opens space on its website and digital platforms for a virtual exhibition, called “Olhar Amazônico”, with the objective of giving more visibility to the photographic production of professionals who portray the region. There will be about 15 to 20 images that can be appreciated by anyone who accesses the site, with a brief profile of the author and contacts.

The debut exhibition is by award-winning photographer Luiz Braga. From Pará, Luiz Braga is 65 years old and has been photographing since he was 11 years old, working professionally since he was 17. “I am proud to have built and continue to build a work on the Amazon and with it to have conquered the world. This is something I am very proud of,” he says.

Regarding the production chosen to debut the virtual exhibition “Olhar Amazônico”, Braga highlights that he chose to present part of the work in black and white. “This cut that I made, especially for this debut, is a cut of an aspect still little known by the younger ones, which is my black and white production. It is still being made, but in the 70s, 80s and 90s it was a constant part of my work. So, after the invitation, I chose to cut out this material. It's all made with film, as they say today, analog. And I made this choice so that people can see that behind this photographer known and recognized for his colors, there is the structure of black and white, composition, tonalities, shades of gray, light. Black and white was and still has been a school for my photography. So it is a great pleasure to share this with you and the world”, he summarizes.
